override standard button label and hiding field label on page layout...

- Is there any way to change the Label of Standard Salesforce Button
- Can we add a field on Page Layout by hiding its label

Hi,

 

1. Yes, it is possible to change the label of standard salesforce button. Please follow the link "http://login.salesforce.com/help/doc/en/customize_rename.htm" for more details.

 

2. You can also add the field to Pagelayout, hiding the label to be viewed by user. You can achieve the same by field level security setting in the profile.

pls give me some brief details. because there i am getting change field label only , not for button.

Hi,

 

I have mistaken the No. 1 requirement.

 

Actuall you cannot change the label of Standard button, but you can create a custom button and apply the same functionality.
