Standard Salesforce Search can't search custom objects????

Hi all, recently I found that Salesforce native search function can't search custom objects if the objects don't have tab.

 

Is it true???

Yes, and logically it is correct. Tabs of the object is the way to view the records, if there is no tab that means the view part is not created in respect to Model View Controller and in search records should not get searched.

That's not idea. For example, our org is Enterprise Edtion, and it only allows 25 custom tabs, which means we can't search the objects without tab.
