Enable Field History Tracking for Custom Settings

Hi guys,

We have a requirement where business users want to have history tracking for custom settings. From my knowledge it cannot be done. But just want to know if anyone has a workaround for this.

Hi Sorna,

 

What do you mean by custom settings?

 

If you want to track User Interface, Validation rules, Profiles etc., then goto View Setup Audit Trail.

 

Administration Setup > Security Controls > View Setup Audit Trail

His question was extremely straight-forward, so I don't understand your confusion.  View Setup Audit Trail does not show Custom Settings object changes such as field data changes etc. as far as I can tell.  

 

Update:  

It does show when I modify the Custom Settings objects, as in, change a default value, or field type, but that is all.
