Custom apps and Third party app

Hi all,

 

What is the differences betwwen Custom Application and Third party application?

Where exactly you picked these terms?

 

Custom App (in terms of salesforce) is the application you create in your organization, it can include tabs, objects, workflows,approvals etc....

 

Third Party App can be any application which you may want to install or integrate with your organization. For ex : Fusion Charts/ Google charts , using talend/informatica for data migration etc..
