once we log into salesforce, click Your Name > Setup > Data Management > Data Loader.
Do you know the license of this software? I know it is free but we need to be sure about the license before we take it in our organization.

It is free and comes free with the salesforce edition you purchased.
Even it comes with free trial editions. So you don't need to worry about the license.

As,Alok mentioned in above comment, Apex Data Loader is free. It comes with your edition.
