Tab Permission

Hi,

We can hide tabs from users by hiding them from the profile.

But user can go to the tab by entering the tab URL.

Is there a way to avoid this ?

Yes this is because salesforce doesn't have an option for this level of security. If the TAB is a visualforce page, you can remove access to the VF page and Apex class, if its an Sobject list page, then you can try fixing the object permissions and OWD, so that a guy doesn't sees more than what he is sought to.
