question regarding the options of force.com platform.
Hi Salesforce!
I have a question regarding the options of force.com platform.
I would like to know: Can I share full branded sheets (objects), make them
public or embed them in a website like Google Docs or DabbleDB? Collect data
easily...
1. Example: https://sites.google.com/site/pagesall2010/home/contabilangro
Also, It is possible to have the app in the following way?
2. Example:
https://docs.google.com/present/edit?id=0AV5be4xyLNIhZGdnNXNxdHNfMjA0Z3I3c3p6Zzc&hl=en&authkey=CPCJrpMK
Currently I have a free account (force.com platform). I can not find the
options that I'm interested in.
I would like to know if I could do the same or better as in the above links
using force.com.
I will be looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Andrei
I think the funcitonality you are looking for is called "Force.com Sites" as well as "Visualforce".
Part 1 is Force.com Sites. Force.com Sites allows you to build public facing websites on your Force.com platform. You can expose data in your Force.com environment to anonymous public users.
Part 2 is Visualforce/Apex. You use Visualforce to build your Pages HTML and you can style it just like any other site with CSS.
I used Force.com Free Edition, Force.com Sites and Visualforce to create a simple page in less than 15 minutes (http://www.corycowgill.com). You can checkout my blogpost about it here which may help: http://corycowgill.blogspot.com/2011/02/forcecom-sites-creating-personal.html

Cory, Thank you!
Can you tell me: The site can have as many pages as I want?
