Error message when trying to install Force .com plug-in on Eclipse Helios

I tried a couple of times to install the Force .com plug-in for Eclipse Helios, but I got the same message. I would like to know if anyone can help me to figure out a solution.

I'm working on Windows XP Professional SP3 and Java.

java version "1.7.0_01"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_01-b08)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 21.1-b02, mixed mode, sharing)

 

Error message:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.java, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).

I have the same problem. I've tried with Eclipse 3.6.2, 3.6.1 and 3.6.0. This is for Force.com IDE plugin for Eclipse 3.6. Hi,  Just thought I'd let you know.  I've tried to install the plug-in again this morning and now it works.  To my knowledge I haven't done anything different but it works now all the same.  Might be worth a retry!

I just had the same problem.  I kept retrying and on the 4th attempt, it took.  

 

I'm using Windows 7 64bit,  eclipse 3.7.
