SFDC Time Zone

does salesforce has the ability to schedule users in their time zone without have to correct for time zone changes (User in PST can schedule appt for 8am for user in EST without subtracting 3 hours so it appears on the calendar correctly)

Yes.  All times are actually stored in Salesforce.com in GMT and are converted on the fly to be correct for the time zone of the user viewing them.

Can you give me an example ?  Suppose I m in PST and my friend is in EST , I need to setup an Event for him , which is my time 8 AM , but when he look at his canlender then he should see 11 AM in his calender ?

Thanks

Yes.  You'll see that's true of all times in Salesforce.com, not just events.  Even if you create a case at 8AM PST, when your friend in EST looks at it he'll see it as being created at 11AM.
