Apex Eclipse Toolkit (8.0.2001) requires plug-in "org.apache.axis".

Hi ,
           I am using Eclipse 3.2.2 and trying to install the plugin for the same,
but when the IDE connects to the remote site its shows an eror saying :
"Apex Eclipse Toolkit (8.0.2001) requires plug-in "org.apache.axis"."
 
Can anyone help on to this,

Angel, I am getting the same error too. Let me know if you got this fixed.

I think you need to install some other plugins.  Check out https://wiki.apexdevnet.com/index.php/Members:Apex_Toolkit_for_Eclipse and follow the instructions there on which plugins to install.

These instructions are leading me to the exact same error message Angel is reporting above.

OK here's how I solved the problem.  During the plugin install process, open the Callisto entry, and open the web development item at the bottom.  Choose the web development tools entry (the J2EE entry is not needed).  Install that set of tools first, then restart the help->software updates->find and install routine again, and this time you won't have this (or any other) dependency problem.
