page layout new option is not avilable in my custom objects

hi am using developer edition i create some objcet

but now i have to craete page layout to that objcet but now i clcik on page layout but on tht "NEW" option is not visable to me

 

plz can any one knw replay me

Hi,

Follow the below steps to create a new page layout

1. Setup -> Create ->Objects( for custom object) or setup-> Customize(for standard object)

2.  Click On Object, whose page layout you need to create

3. Now Go to Page Layouts section, there you will find "New" button from where you can create your new page layout.

Also check for "Customize Application" permission on a profile assigned to you.
