Mini Page Layout VS Mini Console View

Can anybody explain the difference between Mini Page Layout and Mini Console View?

 

I am completely new and I cannot understand what the Console is.

I think mini page layout just give short detaill regarding the record ...
And Mini console page layout give little more detail of record captured with  lookup realtionship of the same record. .

Mini Console View
 
This page allows you to choose which objects will appear in the mini view of the console. You can only choose objects where there is a lookup relationship. 
For example, from the cases object, you can choose account and contact because cases are associated with an account and contact.

Mini Page Layout
 
This page allows you to choose the fields and related lists that will display in the mini view of the console.
