Include custom settings in Managed Package

Hi All,

 

I included some custom settings in managed package but when installed this managed package ina DE org I don't see those custom settings. Am I am missing something here?

 

How can I do this? Any help on this really appreciated.

Protected Custom Settings won't show up in the data loader nor the UI. This is because they must be managed by code that is part of the managed package. It is a protection mechanism that prevents tampering with settings directly. That might be the phenomon you're experiencing.

After deployed I think you could see the custom settings but not the data in it right? If yes, you have to import the data via data loader or create them manually.
