Unable to complete Install - Getting a MD5 Hash error when trying to install the Force.com IDE

Win 32 system, XP OS. Using Eclipse Helios, Followed the following URL to do the very basic - install the eclipse plugin for Force.com, but no dice.  Here is the error at 47% everytime.  I don't see any resolution when i searched online.  Not sure if i am doing something wrong, or maybe the install documentation is incorrect, or may be an error in the installation package.  Pls. take a look and let me know what is going on.  Thanks.

Getting the exact same error here as well - anyone have a solution for this?

I am also getting this error. I have to date:

installed eclipse on two Dell PCs, a custom desktop, 1 macbook Pro and 1 iMac.

(32 bit, 64 bit, Lion, Snow Leopard, Windows 7 Pro, tried every combination) But I am getting the same error on all machines. I have updated all Java instances, all available updates on Eclipse. I have tried to install on different times of the day and night...

Please help?

My solution: download plugin jar files manually and put them into eclipse installation directory. The problem was in corrupted (partial) download of jars by eclipse.

  1. Download all jars of particular needed version from http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/features/ and http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/plugins/ Make sure to use some download manager to ensure files integrity!
  2. Then put them to /features/ and /plugins/ folders of your eclipse installation directory accordingly.
  3. Run plugin installation as described by salesforce (Jars will not be downloaded again) - Success!

Thanks Vasili, your solution works fine. for others, you can use firefox plugin 'download them all' to download all jar files in one click.

I tried Vasili's solution, and it still tried to download the JAR files, leaving me with the MD5 errors. Anyone got other ideas? When googling for a solution for this, it seems that this issue goes back several version. SF really needs to address this, it leaves a *HORRIBLE* impression for would-be developers.
