Tried to install Force.com IDE get an error

I already have this version of eclipse in my mac:

Eclipse IDE for Java Developers

 

Version: Helios Service Release 2

 

 

When I tried to install force.com ide by adding a new site as described in the wiki, I get the following error:

 

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed

Tried with this version of Helios, it worked fine.
