Create a new button and Create a new view through API

Good Day!

I have a couple of questions:

Can I create a new button in Salesforce pretty much like the "Find Duplicates" in the Leads Tab?

And I cannot find how to create a new view via Partner API. Is this possible(create a new view)?

Thanks in advance. I would really appreciate a reply.

Hi alexsummers,

You can't modify the salesforce.com ui in the way that you requested.  You can however create a web link on the Lead Detail page (the same page that the find duplicates button resides on) to run code at your own web site or in the browser using java script.

Views are also not exposed via the API.
