What is the percentage of people who fail the DEV 501 exam?

Does Salesforce publish this statistic anywhere on-line or would it be in there best interest not to?

 

Any info/comments would be greatly appreciated!

No answers? That's ok. We all know that is very high.

Please save your money and opt not to pay $4000 for the DEV501 training. It will not help you with pass this test. There are many questions in this exam that are NOT covered in the training. Additionally, the questions and answers in this exam are designed to trick even the most experienced apex programmers.

I hold this cert and it is very difficult.

The exam portion includes many features an average developer may not use very often. I failed my first try, passed on my second.

I agree with the previous post. Save your money. My general advice:

Spend at least 6 months working on Force.com with Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, API, etc. You really need experience to pass.

Study the documentation heavily.

Don't be afraid to take the exam, fail, and retake. Even of you fail and retake, it's cheaper than 4K for the class.
