Visual Studio

Hello,
 
I am trying to build a .net application using visual basic.   The instructions tell me I have to use visual studio.  Is Visual web developer the same thing?

It should do, but get visual basic express as well.  They are both free

You can build .net application using both the things, but using visual studio you can deploy the application where as with visual web developer you can't.
