what are the main drawbacks of changesets...?

Any body help me what are the main drawbacks of change sets..............?

One main difference is: 

A change set can only be moved between a live site and its sandbox or in general between connected orgs. Eclipse can be used to move between any orgs like live site and developer org or between any developer org to any other developer org.

Hi Ganesh, 

 

Change Sets are the declarative(Point and Click) way of migrating Metadata from one Org to another. 

They are very simple and easy to use. 

They can transfer the data between only Connected Orgs. 

The Migration happens on Salesforce End and it is done in a change Set queue which rarely takes couple of hours to upload. 

The only drawback that i personally feel is that you cannot migrate to multiple Orgs at the same time which Metadata API and Force.com IDE are faster.
