Cannot create workflow directly; must create the CustomObject first

Save error: SocialPost : Cannot create workflow directly; must create the CustomObject first SocialPost.workflow /Eventdev/src/workflows line 0 Force.com save problem

 

 

Getting error like this when trying to save to server by using eclipse.......How should I overcome with this......ANy ideas please

Is your custom object already implemented in the org?

You must deploy your custom object first, then deploy the workflow rule

When u create workflow form eclipse, it asks object to select for which you want to write workflow...

 

 

Select object and then create workflow.

 

 

P.S :  Creating of workflow through salesforce UI is much easy.....
