How can i make field is only editable by system admin only?

I have a lookup field, I should need to make this field is only editable by system admin only. Not to users .how can i do this.

Go to the field. Click Set Field Level Security and then under 

Field-Level Security for Profile -> Visible

 

Just select the checkbox beside System Administrator.

You can make the field read-only for all profiles. System Administrators have the permission to edit read-only fields, so they will be able to edit the values even though it is read-only.
