jboza Can quotas be set on the leads object. Basically I want to load leads into the CRM and track the number of leads that each salesperson is converting as compared to monthly goals set for them. I am only looking to do this by ammount of leads and not a currency goal.

Unfortunately, as per standard design it is not possible to assign Forecast quota to any object other than User.
I would suggest you create a custom field on Lead object which will track the details (name) of the salesperson, who converted. Now you can run a report and track leads converted by a salesperson in a given time period.
No I do get that these forcasts are set to sers but can they be linked to the leads object?
