Hi,

A Salesforce.com ID is what references each Record in the back end of Salesforce. It si basically what Salesforce uses to

track all of your records. It is similar to a key field in an RDBMS. You can find an ID by going to the record detail page inside of Salesforce, and looking at the URL at the top of the page. Everything to the right of salesforce.com/ is your iD number. It will be a 15 digit number.

Salesforce generates unique IDs for records across all instances.

Thanks,

Devendra
