Jas101 Hello, can I sync Outlook records to custom objects in Salesforce using Salesforce for Outlook? We need the field mapping function for a much needed field in the custom object we created.

Yes it is possible. To access custom objects within Outlook the same way you access Accounts, Contacts, etc please follow the following steps.
1. First make sure Outlook Edition is installed.
2. Navigate to Tools | Salesforce Options | Email and check that the "Add Salesforce folders in Outlook" is checked under Browser Options.
3. Now Right-click the salesforce.com folder and create a new folder by the name of your custom object.
4. Right-click the newly created folder and navigate to the Homepage tab.
5. Under the address copy the link that is present when you open that custom object in your salesforce.
Now, you should be able to access that object everytime you open your outlook.

Hi Vinita, thank you for your response. My apologies that my question was not clear, but we were looking for custom object mapping, not custom field mapping.
