What's an AppComm?

AppComms provide 'out of the box' integration for ANY application / database - with NO software development effort required - think 'codeless' integration.  AppComms are a metadata driven integration enabling a live/secure access to the data schema (i.e.; Salesforce.com web services, SAP's Remote Functional Call, SharePoint  ...). 

With 'out of the box' integration a business analyst or consultant type role can focus on rapidly delivering the discrete data integration requests that come from the Lines of Business.  Otherwise, if you have to integrate disparate data / applications the legacy approach of custom coding integration adapters (which can take fiscal quarters to complete) this will likely mean the Business 'idea' will never become a project and sit in the massive backlog of requests that IT receives each year.
