Pathetic Rich Text Editor

The rich text editor I am using to post this message meets my needs, but how can I get these features to be available when I create a rich text field on an object?

  • Spell check isn't available
  • I would love to be able to set line spacing

What solutions exist?

Understand, the rich text editor is pretty basic.
There is an already existing idea regarding this in the ideas exchange.

EG, vote for the idea on the idea exchange so that the next customer of SF doesn't have to suffer.  In the meantime, if your customers can use Chrome then they can rely on the browser for spellcheck.  The latest version of IE may also have spell.  With respect to a better editor, you might be able to use visualforce and a javascript library that implements rich text.
