Hi - as opposed to attaching a PDF to an article is it possible to replace this with a public URL.

 

We are looking to utilise the PKB from salesforce.com from the appexchange and we wish to deflect users to the online forum as opposed to attaching a PDF to an email response.

Yes you can add public URLs to the article. This idea has been delivered in Winter 13.
