Difference between case team and assignment rules

Hi,

 

What is difference between case team and assignment rules? Why we use case team?

"Lead Assignment Rules allow you to automatically route leads to the appropriate users or queues. A Lead Assignment Rule consists of multiple rule entries that define the conditions and order for assigning leads."

 

So, being a newer admin, I'm pretty sure you would use the assigment rules to route leads or cases to a sales or case team, for example.
