Time Bound email ( Send email after 7 days of some trigger or button click.

I need to send emails after 7 or 14 days when some event happens for example Account Update.

You can create a time dependent workflow to achieve this: http://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=workflow_time_action_considerations.htm&language=en_US

 

You can keep the condition for time trigger as 7/14 days after Account: Last Modified date
