Standard User editable Email Templates

Is there a way to have a managed package provide an Email Template that can then be modified be a Standard User?

 

I realized the the template can be edited using the Send Email interface during the process of sending the email, but I'd like to the user to be able to save edits to an email template where the emails are sent via Apex and not using the standard Send Email interface.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to enable the permissions mentioned at the top of this Help Page, depending on what type of email template.

Hi Steven,

 

Email Templates are no longer managed, so the user can modify them after install. More info here.

A System Administrator can edit the template, but a Standard User cannot. There is no Clone button for a Standard User either, or is that just a security setting.

 

I'd like each Standard User to be able to save a different version of the Email Template.

 

Is that possible?
