Does salesforce charge for security review of native applications ?

Hi,

 

I heard that Salesforce charge for security review of force.com native applications.

Is it true ?

 

If remember correctly, they did not charge force.com native applications before.

When did they started charging for security review of force.com native applications ?

I don't know exactly when they started charging but I published a native application in June for no charge.  It looks like they changed their entire policy.  Here is the wiki:  http://wiki.developerforce.com/index.php/Security_Review

 

It clearly states on this page http://wiki.developerforce.com/index.php/Security_Review_Costs that native applications now cost $5K for first time review and $2,500 for renewal.  Looks like I'lll be taking down most of my apps when it comes time to renew.

Must have been changed over the last 2 months.

Seems like a huge blow to the developer community - what a shame.
