Reverting to an earlier version of a managed package

A customer has asked if it is possible to go back to the previous version of a managed package if a blocker bug is found after a deployment. (Uninstalling and reinstalling the previous version is one approach but that means a lot of manual steps to get the data reloaded in the correct master before detail order and bigger ordering problems in self-referencing objects.)

I could not find anything on this subject - any insights anyone?

Thanks,

Keith

I think the best option is to use the new Summer '10 functionality of Push Upgrades and push out a bug fix.

,if the already the package version is distributed it is very difficult to revert because of the process  you need salesforce help ,it will take time.

For this I suggest one dirty methods previous version of yours source code deploy in packaging account repack the code and use it.

In some condition it is also difficult .ie if you included new component or method that will give big pro.

In yours code what did added to new functionality.
