AppExchange Application and installation it on different edition
Hi, I am little bit Confused on AppExchange Application and installation it on different edition
1) Force.com Free, Force.com Enterprise ans Force.com Unlimited edition are the Edition in which we can install only AppExchange Application, Salesforce does not provide any CRM functionality, is it right??
2) Can we install application which is not listed in appExchange ?
3) If application is just a Managed package, ( Means not passed Security review and not listed in AppExchange ) can we install in force.com edition.
Hi,
Please go through the below URL for more details.

for the third question , Yes you can install the managed package in force.com edition.

1) The Force.com editions do not provide CRM functionality. You need the Salesforce Platform or Service Cloud for CRM. You can find some information about the different editions here: http://www.salesforce.com/products/
2) Yes, you can install a package without the AppExchange. Packages can always be installed using a link that is provided when you 'upload', or create, the package. The details can be found here http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/How_to_Create_and_Register_a_Package#Upload_your_Package
3) Yes, you can use the link as mentioned above to install the package. I have not verified this with a Force.com account (only Developer editions), but you can create a managed package in a free Developer edition account to verify.
While tinkering with packages, be aware that namespaces are global and final, and that most items can't be removed from a managed package. http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/How_to_Create_and_Register_a_Package#Unmanaged_vs._Managed
The security review only limits your ability to publish on the AppExchange.
