Can you make fields accessible for formulas and hide them from reporting?

Is there a way around using field level security to make fields not reportable, but still accessible on page layouts and formulas?

Not sure exactly what you are trying accomplish but if you use custom report types then you can choose which fields are available while building a custom report. you can build a report based on custom report type and then let users modify that , that way the fields not chosen in custom report type are not available to the user. hope this helps.

Hi,

You can create a Report Type and hide the fields from Reporting.

Please follow the below step for create a report type.

Setup-->Create-->Report Types.

Adter createing the reports you can hide the fields from 'Fields Available for Reports' section from the Report Type.

Thanks,
