Cloning of Case Comments Related List to a Custom Object

Is there a way to clone the "Case Comments" related list to a Custom Object? If not, can a similar custom related list be created?

There isn't any way to duplicate all features of the Case Comments object. You can create a custom object with an auto-number as the name and then a long text area field. There isn't any way to make it public to customers though. If there are other features that it has that you want then please post and we should be able to let you know if it is possible or not.

Another option may be to utilize record types so that you could utilize the case object for different things.
