Lead conversion

Hi friends 

 I prepare  to the certification of adminnistor, and i got a question.

Do Validation rules get enforced on the Lead Conversion?

the answer is no . but i create a rule in contact that the fax filed can not blank .than i creat a lead that the fax field  is empty.when i convert the lead ,it has a error message. that means  Validation rules get enforced on the Lead Conversion? and why answer is no .

Hi,

There is an option in lead for enforcing the trigger or validation rule when leads convert. You can off this functionality by following the below steps:

1.            Your name->Setup-> Customize-> Leads-> Settings

2.            Click on Edit button

3.            Uncheck Enforce Validation and Triggers from Lead Convert

4.            Click on save button.
