Managed Currency field issue

We have a managed application, where we used some Currency data type. When we created, we select default decimal 0, which we have to change now.

 

It seems Salesforce doesn't allow to do so, what's the way out.

I know that the sum of the length and decimal places must be an integer less than or equal to 18 for the Currency Data Type. So if your length is already 18, you won't be able to add decimals; you would have to reduce the length before adding decimal.

Not sure if that is your problem though...
