Question about triggers

 

Should/Does an insert of a child object create an update trigger on the parent in a master detial relationship?  I thought it had been changed about a year ago so it did not, but I cannot find the specific documentation for it at this time.

According to the order of execution, only if there is a roll up summary field on the master or the child record is part of cross object workflow.  I read this as a change has to be made on the parent as consequence of the insert.
