Can't create a v24 API class in Eclipse - no IDE 24??

when i try and create a new class the api version dropdown only shows 23.0 for API version

I'v e checked for updates and apparently there is no IDE 24  that i can see.

Is this just a matter of editing the class meta xml  APIversion tag after i create the class?

It may also depends upon your org. Please check that is there any single class or page in your org haiving 24 version. Only editing metadata will not work.

seems like editing the class meta xml in the IDE  DOES work.

If i edit it in the IDE i CAN save it back to the dev org without error. When  i look at this class in the Dev org  it is set to 24.0

However...... sure would be nice if we had the proper IDE version.....Hellloooo Salesforce ??.

The IDEs are always a few weeks behind the releases, and they have had at least one case in the past where a release was skipped.
