Adding Data Loading functionality to a Customer Portal
Hi All,
I have a question about loading data into SFDC via a Customer Portal.
We have a high volume of clients who are registered via our customer portal.
They each send us file attachements each day of low volume record sets that we have to manually load to SFDC
via Data Loader.
We propose to build functionality into our Customer Portal to allow the clients to upload this data themselves.
We would have a single data mapping file enforced across all clients to maintain data consistency and also trap
and fix any errors.
It seems to me that we would be replicatiing in apex a lot of functionality that already exists in the Data Loader
app or the standard SFDC import wizards.
Does anyone have any experience/suggestions on how this functionality can be easily extended via the Customer Portal
