Integration user license

Hi,

I thought I asked this question last year but cannot find it!

For integration purposes would you recommend creating a user with the first name of "Integration" and the last name of "User" and set the permissions to API Enabled and API Only User. under its own profile called Integration?

How do you do this type of setup?

In the past - I've used "SFDC AUTO" with many clients (and even "SFDC Otto" at a more cheeky company).  Clean way to let folks know a human did not create or update.

In our org, we do it the way you mentioned. Create a new API only profile and create a user with that profile. -- 'Integration User'. But this user creds are used only for stuff within SFDC control. I mean like, for automated data loader,, those kinda things. If an external system is going to integrate with us, they get a new profile with just enough permissions and a new user account.
