methym Is there a force.com geocoding service that takes a textual address and returns lat/long? If not, any suggestions for a free one that doesn't have too many constraints around usage / throttling?
Not sure about free, but KnowWho (http://knowwho.com/dir_salesforce/zdm.asp) has a native paid app that submits your address data for Accounts and Contacts to a web service on KnowWho's servers and gets back congressional districts and lat/long data and updates each record with that info - it processes them as Apex Batches, so no real limit on how many you can process...
I should note that I built this app, and receive revenue for each sale...
