Reg:Need help for help text having more than 255 characters

Hi i have to place the help text  of more than 255 characters length for a input field . i'm not able to do with the standard functionality . can somebody help me out how to place that help text? it is urgent

Text field have a max length of 255. You could use text area field to have a size of 32000

Oh. Sorry about that. I completely misunderstood your request

 

Unfortunately the help text attribute on a field cannot be customised. The limit of 255 characters cannot be changed.

 

You could check with support to see if anything can be arranged for your org.
