Invoicing with Salesforce

at the moment in our system the invoicing number is around 2500. my company wants it back to change and start from 1000 . how can i do that? Can anyone please help me regarding this will be much appreciated.

How is the invoice number calculated. Is it an autonumber name field or something else?

Presuming you're using an auto-number field, just click on Setup, Create, Objects, Invoices, edit the Name field, and set the new starting number.
