I want to export a report for an object directly from its detail page in .CSV format via a button.

Is it possible..Please help

Yes it is possible. You have to create a custom button on the detail page. On click of that button you have to do a onclick javascriptr functionality in which you capture the id of the record and then do your coding for the export in vf and apex.

I am able to open report onclick of that button .Unable to proceed.can you explain a little bit..
