Regarding Salesforce

Hi

 

I use Ubantu Operationg System on my Laptop. When i use Mail Merge Button in Salesforce on Ubantu Platform then error  Mail Merge features does not work and it generates Error:   " This feature requires Internet Explorer for Windows 6.0 or higher on Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP. ".

 

Please tell me that How can i use Mail Merge Features on Ubantu Platform.

Mail Merge has basic requirements listed here:

I do not see Ubuntu as a supported platform.

Take a look at the extended mail merge functionality - that removes the browser dependency as the documents are produced server side:

@bob - I still do not see support for Ubuntu under extended mail merge. The only additional support I see under this is for Mac OS and Firefox.

With extended mail merge, you send the request to the salesforce servers, so it shouldn't matter what operating system you are running on.
