Standard button based on record type help needed

Hi,

 

 Please help me to achieve the following functionality,

 

1) I want to remove the standard "New account " button for a specific record type under account for a specific user.

 

 

Please let me know how to achieve it.

If you want to implement through visul force page, still that button will be availabe but you can override the new button with a visualforce page and check the current user and record type and disply a error message only to this user other users you can redirect to the standard create new record page . The issue here is new button will get displayed but he won't be able to create new records in salesforce

Hi @SFDC org,

 

Do you mean you dont want certain set of users to create an Account? Record Type comes into picture once you click New Account, hence bit confused.
