Check out in page layout >edit and you are able to insert page in layout.
You can already do that. VF pages that are bound to standard controller of an object are available to be included on the detail page in inline mode. for example if you have a page using standard controller on account, you'll see an option to add "Pages" in the dropdown when you are editing a page layout.
