Outlook Connector: change message class of imported contacts?

Hello.  In Outlook 2003 you can create custom forms for Contacts (and other folders) to show different fields and layouts.  You can set a Contacts folder to use a custom form by default when creating new contact entries.  When a new contact (or other item) is created using a custom form, it is assigned a custom Message Class, which is a hidden Outlook field that can only be changed by vbscript or API code.

I want to run a Salesforce contact sync into an Outlook folder that uses a custom form.  However, the SF connector appears to create new Outlook contact records with the standard Message Class (IPM.Contact) instead of the desired custom Message Class.

Is there any way to set the Connector to use the custom form and message class specified for the Outlook folder?

Thanks

David

Hi,

I am having a similar issue. I just googled 'Outlook default custom form' and there's heaps of stuff out there. The following link looks complicated, but i guess I will try it out:
