Salesforce Offline Access

I downloaded and installed offline access for our users and created a new briefcase configuration for different users - but when users are in their set-up mode they can't select the briefcase configuration I created. I made sure to activate the briefcase configurations. Am I supposed to assign it to them?

Hi,

 

User can have an access to configure a briefcase but you have to sure that user has the following permission:

 

1: View Setup and Configuration

2: Manage Mobile Configurations

 

And check the checkbox “Offline User” on user detail page.

Works ok if all you need is Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities and related custom objects.

So I am confused on the Force part in "Force.com Connect Offline 2.0" -- shouldn't be more accurately called "CRM Connect Offline 2.0" since it is not possible to sync other custom objects?

Or is there an API somewhere to do that?
